Anthony Goicolea

Anthony Goicolea is a one-man production crew. He is the set designer, the costume designer, the makeup artist, the director, the photographer and the technician, as well as the actor, in all the scenes he photographs. In most of his works, Goicolea examines instances of rebellion, the discovery of sexuality and the probing of sexual identity in the lives of adolescents on the threshold of entering the social order. This work depicts a wild food fight taking place in the absence of the parents, who appear only as portraits on the walls. The rules of order and discipline are replaced by the chaotic unfolding of war games, which constitute a form of adolescent rebellion.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, 1971; lives and works in New York
