Miriam Sharon

"...The Yom Kipur War and the energy crisis that followed shattered the myth of the materialistic society. As an artist my answer was to find a way of expression, free and independent from the consumer society and its products, that is, returning to natural energy sources like the body's energy, solar energy, the environment and the sand. Contrary to the static, hermetically closed concrete buildings, new organic, dynamic and open spaces were created..."

From Miriam Sharon's text on her work process

Born in Haifa, 1944; lives and works in Vendée, France
