An architectural outline created from a bird's-eye perspective, and embroidered entirely by hand, features Dizengoff Circle and the streets that fan out around it, presenting Tel Aviv as a white, pristine, modernist city. Six female figures hover above this outline as if they are freefalling, or as if they were suspended in midair in the midst of their morning exercises. The grayish-white palette and the embroidery stitches, which resemble schematic drawings, evoke the appearance of a concrete relief - and the urban texture of 1930s Tel Aviv. The use of a handicraft technique to refer to modernist Bauhaus architecture calls attention to the fact that the well known architecture and design school in Dassau, which gave rise to the International Style in architecture, was also known for its craft departments, which never received the acknowledgement they merit.
